O Mapa Brasil Afrotech, iniciativa do NIED-UNICAMP, procura disponibilizar aos pesquisadores e à comunidade uma base de informações, a conter breves citações qualificadas sobre cientistas e projetistas brasileiros, afrodescententes, que atuem nas áreas das exatas e biológicas, desenvolvedores e participantes inclusos em projetos com características de inovação tecnológica e, em destaque, em componentes correlatos ao ambiente das novas tecnologias vinculadas à educação e às mídias digitais.
A modelagem georeferenciada permite uma visibilidade abrangente dos projetos envolvidos. Destas iniciativas se pretende estimular redes de relacionamentos, eventos como congressos, seminários e workshops, entre outros, e interações entre seus projetos e iniciativas.

The Afrotech Brazil Map, an initiative of NIED-UNICAMP, seeks to provide researchers and the community with an information base, containing briefly qualified quotes from Brazilian, African-descendent scientists and designers, working in the exact and biological fields, developers and participants included in projects with characteristics of technological innovation and, in highlight, components related to the environment of new technologies related to education and digital media. Georeferenced modeling allows for comprehensive visibility of the projects involved. These initiatives are intended to stimulate networks of relationships, events such as congresses, seminars and workshops, among others, and interactions between their projects and initiatives.
